Carbon Critical Design
During 2007, Paula Hirst, Founder of Disruptive Urbanism was employed as an independent consultant to the Atkins Group to share her lessons learnt from working on the Sustainable Development Strategy for London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as part of Atkins Carbon Critical 100 week initiative spearheaded by the CEO.
Reporting to Atkins Chief Executive Officer, following a series of meetings and workshops with a wide range of leaders across the business globally, Paula developed a series of strategic recommendations for the Atkins Group on how enhance Atkins reputation and delivery capacity to be world leaders in the delivery of sustainable solutions. Recommendations related to design excellence, cross business unit working, programme and project management, training, communication, and leadership.
