West of Ifield

Founder of Disruptive Urbanism, Paula Hirst, led the development of a vision for a new community West of Ifield in 2019 whilst working in a previous capacity as Director of Strategy at Prior + Partners. 

West of Ifield is a new community west of Crawley, with the potential for 10,000 homes with majority landholdings by Homes England who are acting as master developer. Paula led the visioning and strategy work early in the masterplanning of this community. 

Working with Homes England and the three local authorities, Paula led a process across a large multidisciplinary consultant team which included analysing current and future trends in how we live, work, socialise, and travel, considering a range of economic, social, and environmental factors, to develop and gain agreement to a set of clear ambitious objectives for the development.
